We are growing and looking for a self-motivated Quality Assurance Engineer to work in our San Diego office. The successful applicant will develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality across the Trackforce application ecosystem. We’re looking for the right balance of technical abilities coupled with an inquisitive mind and strong communication skills.

As a QA Engineer, your responsibilities will include designing and implementing functional tests for both web and Android native app experiences; maintaining and expanding an automated web test suite; identifying feature defects through exploratory testing; and highlighting expected corrective actions.

Reports to

VP of Product Design and Delivery, who is based in San Diego.

Responsibilities
• Create thorough and well-structured test plans with detailed test scenarios
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
• Develop, enhance, and execute automated web acceptance tests
• Identify and document defects on both web and mobile platforms
• Perform thorough regression testing of impacted scenarios when defects are resolved
• Coordinate with product managers and application developers to identify appropriate test coverage for product requirements
• Stay current on new testing tools and test strategies

Requirements
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Fluency in writing clear, concise, comprehensive test plans and test scenarios
• Exceptional attention to detail, and a real knack for finding bugs and breaking software
• Hands-on experience with functional testing
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Experience with multi-lingual applications is a plus
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
• Working proficiency in French is a big plus
