Trackforce Valiant is looking for an experienced DBA to join our team! As a Sr. DBA, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server systems. You will also be working closely with our R&D organization to ensure software is created with database performance and scalability considerations.

Sr. DBA duties and responsibilities

  • Manage SQL Server databases
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes
  • Monitor system’s health and performance
  • Ensure high levels of performance, availability, scalability and security of our customer-facing applications
  • Ensure developers are properly using best practices for database performance, scalability and security
  • Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
  • Provide suggestions for solutions
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
  • Assist developers with architectural considerations, query tuning and schema refinement
  • Provide 24×7 support for critical production systems
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours as necessary

SQL Server DBA requirements and qualifications

  • 10 years of experience as a Microsoft  SQL Server DBA
  • 10 years of experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization
  • 10 years of experience with backups, restores and recovery models
  • 5 years of experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
  • 10 years of experience with Windows server, including Active Directory
  • 3+ years of experience managing databases in Amazon AWS
  • 3+ years of experience working with NoSQL databases such as Casandra, MongoDB, etc.
